Today was kinda a sad day, it is one more day closer to the biggest change of my life. And frankly I'm scared, scared of the new, scared of what I'm leaving behind all in all scared. I bet you are wondering what could be so scary? Well in a few weeks I will be moving to Valentine, NE. It's not that I don't like Valentine it is very nice and very beautiful and I would be surrounded by my family. But I have never moved before, well I guess I moved once before when I was like 2 but that doesn't count. There are lots of reasons why I am happy and sad to go, but for now I will continue to pack boxes.
This evening we, Justin and I, went out to eat with my parents at the Parker's rib ranch. It was nice, I hadn't been there in years but it's nice to know that their chicken fried stake is still as good as ever. I love spending time with my parents they make me laugh and I can only pray that Justin and I have that good of marriage after 24 years. After dinner I came home to find a huge, I mean like almond size green tick in our house. And Justin also found another little one today in our bathroom. So I searched Kaedo, our 10 month old Siberian Husky, and wouldn't you know I found another one. This one was about the size of a kernel of corn, field corn of course, and it was brown and nasty. I wrestled him for about an hour trying to get it off when finally I called my daddy. So I loaded up Kaedo in the car and drove him 25 minutes over to my parent's house so that my dad and I could wrestle him again. Thankfully this time my dad was successful. Poor Kaedo he was out in the country for 2 or 3 days and he ended up with at least 3 ticks. The best part is to repay my dad Kaedo marked his couch, twice. Luckily Grandpa is a real softy for anything with four legs. And now I'm checking constantly for ticks on me.
I also got to talk to one of my favorite cousins, Mary Kay and Reed was listening in and made a few comments here and there. They are getting married in June and I'm so excited they are so perfect for each other, plus the wedding is so going to be a blast!! I called to make sure she was doing OK, she got some pretty crappy news earlier today. The kind of news a bride doesn't want to hear a month before the wedding, but everything is cool, just like Mary Kay. We had a good chat and I think we are going to open up our very own family owned papa johns. Justin doesn't that sound like a good idea, haha. The joke is that there is no Papa John's in Valentine and that is my comfort food, it always makes me better.
Welp that pretty much sums up my night, besides making this blog. Hope you all enjoyed, hope the entries get more exciting as time goes by.
