No subject

I wouldn't say that my life has slowed down, it's like lots of little things and no more big things, which is good. Justin and I are ready to relax and have a slower paced life for a while and then also to just see each other. 1 more month until the Prairie Club closes for the season and I would be lying if I said I wasn't excited. I've worked so hard this summer that I'm ready for a break, but probably around January get bored again and get another full time job. Mostly I'm excited to work on our house! We've moved in almost 2 months ago and at first I was gung hoe about it but then a week later (haha) I was tired of it. But now I'm tired of it not being unpacked. My "to-do" list is getting huge!
In other news.....
In an earlier post I talked about getting poked and stuff well I thought I was done with that nonsense but I guess not. I had a suspicious mole removed and then the area got infected. That's why I was in so much pain, haha. So now I'm on medicine...and it makes me crazy. "I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!!" Apparently I've said some crazy stuff, you'll have to ask Justin for details because I don't remember saying these things let alone thinking them. And no I don't have a concussion, been there done that. Is it bad if a suspicious mole area becomes infected? Gosh I sure hope not.
Also yesterday I found out that my good friend from grade school's dad died. He was riding his bike and ran over a stick or something and he was hospitalized but didn't make it. It's really sad, he was maybe 54, just goes to show you how much we take for granite.

Tired of getting poked

It seems like over the last couple weeks I've been to the doctors more times than I have my whole life. I don't really like doctors it seems like every time I go to them they never know what's wrong with me. So long story short over the years I've just stopped going to doctors. Why pay for someone to tell me they don't know? Hopefully Tuesday was the last time I will have to go for a long time, a year maybe. So Tuesday I went for my annual check up, that I haven't had in about 2 years.... so much for "annual". And overall heath is better but the doctor found a couple things that could cause me problems later on. So back to the hospital for more blood work, yay. I really hate needles and now I have to wait up to 10 days for results to come back. Also I had a mole removed and tested, don't know the results of that test yet either. But the doctor said she might have to remove more of them and I am so sore from just the one. I know this is going to sound crazy but I feel like I've been beat up, haha. From a little mole!! It was on my side and now I can't turn or raise my arms or it pulls the skin and feels like it's ripping apart. I'm kinda scared to get the others removed, the ones in question are on my back and on the back of my neck. Well if I survive this I'll know I'll be able to handle getting a tattoo! (always finding positives) Also I do like this doctor a lot better, I was worried that I would have to drive to Lincoln to go to the doctors. Thank goodness that's not the case with the way the last couple of weeks have been going....

Not a whole lot

Not interesting in this neck of the woods for the last couple days, well at least not for me. Justin on the other hand got new toys. Justin really likes video games and one of his favorite series just came out with it's latest installment. So he drove down to Lincoln to pick it up reason being is because we pre-ordered it back when we were still living in Lincoln. Along with the new game he got a new Halo XBox, I know spoiled right. But the XBox is part of his Christmas present. While he was down in Lincoln he also worked the Husker game and it paid for his new game pretty cool right. What a life? Getting paid to go to a football game that you wanted to go to anyway and making $20 an hour to pay for your new Halo game. Blessed and Highly Favored that's what we are. I even got some presents from Lincoln!! He got me this really cute dress and some XBox points so I can dress my avatar up cute too.
Oh I just remembered I did find out what was wrong with me a couple weeks ago and thankfully it's nothing serious. I had some kind of intestinal virus, which sounds bad but we were thinking it was much worse. And I am all better now, yay!

Realization

On my drive to work tonight I realized something, how happy I am right now. I know I'm always happy or smiling but I never realized how fulfilled I am. Every girl dreams of their perfect man and marriage and I'm here to say dreams do come true. Ever since I was little I wanted a man who was just like my daddy and who had a family that would treat me like family. Tonight after spending another family event (husband's family event I should say) without my husband and feeling completely normal I realized that I had everything I wanted. Which I don't know why it took me so long to come to this because I have been around them for a while now. But yeah, and the other cool thing about this is that right now my Justin is with my Mom and Dad. I love it!! Life is good

Football

Tonight Justin and I went to James's football game here in Valentine. It was a beautiful night for football, a little breezy but that's Nebraska. James did really good and he played quite a bit. He played both offensive and defensive so naturally he would get good playing time. I saw him get a couple tackles and a catch! I was so excited!! I even got some pictures of him, we'll wait and see how they turn out. I didn't have a chance to look at them because I had to work tonight. I even had to leave the game early so I don't even know who won. But Valentine was losing at the half :(
I'm so excited to watch James play this year, I never got to watch any of my family play sports, except for when my brother was little. And when he was little so was I and when your little the game was boring and the playground was the place to be.
After the game Justin left for Lincoln, he is working the Husker game tomorrow. It's really nice he gets to go to the games (which he loves) plus he gets paid. Also while he is down in Lincoln he is getting his Christmas present, Halo Reach and new XBOX system. He is so spoiled!! I told him that I needed a present too! Lol I'm excited to see what I get, I told him my shoe and dress size as well as what jewelry I needed. haha maybe we are both a little spoiled.

I want a name like that!

A few nights ago Justin and I had dinner with his family and his extended family from Arkansas. His grandpa's sister to be exact and then Darrell and his wife Princess (Justin wasn't sure how he was related to him and his wife). Yep that's right her name was princess! I wish that was my name..... How awesome would that be, you could act like a princess all the time and no one could say anything bad because hey that's your name. Maybe I should name our kids something like but instead of princess maybe saint or angel. Hello this is our child Well-Behaved, I think that has a nice ring to it.
But back to reality, dinner was really nice and I liked listening to their stories. We are going to be seeing them again this weekend, Saturday I think. Don't know what were doing yet but if it's with the Fords you know it will be fun!

Fall already?

This season is so bitter sweet, on the one hand I get excited for the Holidays and watching the Buckeyes but I really hate the cold. And it's only one day past Labor Day and I'm already freezing!! I should try and convince Justin to move to somewhere warm all year, because then I would still get to enjoy Halloween and football without having to wear heavy clothes. Oh well we may still have a few more hot days left it is Nebraska after all.

Wishing for more days in the sun..............

Yay

So there ya go, I think I've caught you up to date on what's happening in my life. I can't believe it's September already!! This year has flown by, but I guess time flies when you're having fun and we're having a blast!! Living like to it's fullest and loving every minute of it!

Labor Day Weekend/ House warming Party

This weekend my parent's came up from Lincoln to visit us and see our new house. And while they were here we had our Housewarming party. It went really well, had a good turn out and Tracee got us a sweet rain gauge! It's really cool and pretty, I told Justin now he can join the old people when they talk about how much it has rained. It's an inside joke because his dad is always checking his rain gauge and talking about how much it rained. I think Rex actually has multiple rain gauges. haha it cracks me up, I guess I don't get it, but I feel like a grown up now that we have one. We had a lot of the Ford family show up, the Gass's came and a couple of our friends from Vtown were there too. I made sloppy joes, 2 different salads, a veggie/cheese tray, punch, dirt, a yellow cake with chocolate frosting and scotch-a-roos. I know I'm amazing, haha and Gale brought brownies and Karen brought chips and dip. So all in all good food. It was a nice relaxing party, everyone spent the whole night catching up with everyone else. I say we should have a party every month! We could have a party committee and everything! I'll run that by the head of the social committee, Karen. lol

Sick

Yeah that's right I got sick, mom thinks it's from working so much..........nah.
Well it happened last Wednesday night during my shift at work. I got sick at work around 6 am and then went home and slept all day and all of Thursday night. Justin had to call in for me because I wouldn't wake up, I also threw up a couple times that day too while I was awake. :(
Then on Friday for some stupid reason I thought it would be a good idea to go to the doctor. Well the clinic had just closed as I walked up to the door which meant I had to go to the ER. Stupid stupid, I should have just gone home. But I go to the stupid ER and I get a stupid doctor that wouldn't listen to me. He was more interested in what me and Justin use for protection and if I was pregnant that anything else. No joke he ran 2 pregnancy tests on me in a 2 hour time period. Later I realized what he was doing, it was 5pm on a Friday he didn't want to be there, he was looking for a comp out. Pregnant was his first choice and when that wasn't the case (because we aren't even trying) he decided that I was dehydrated. Which I wasn't they tested me for that too and I wasn't but since he left before all of my test were done the nurses had nothing to do but try and put an IV in me. Yes I said try, they were not successful. A, I don't like needles, B, I don't like pain and most important C, I didn't need it because I wasn't dehydrated!! So I left the ER in worst shape than when I went in. With no clue what was wrong with me and no clue on how to get better.
Saturday we did figure out how to stop throwing up though, don't eat food with flavor. Haha It was so weird because I still had my appetite and I was hungry all the time. But I would throw up within the hour of whatever I ate. But once I stopped throwing up I noticed how much pain I was in. So I slept all day and felt pretty good when I woke up around 4pm so I called into work telling them that I would be there. Well I went back to sleep and woke up in worst shape. But I wasn't going to call out again, I just hate doing that and we've been so under staffed. But I was in so much pain I couldn't even drive myself, poor Justin had to drive me to work. Just for me to get there work for 3 hours and realize that I couldn't make it. He drove back out to get me and take me home needless to say I didn't go back to work until the doctor's approved it.
Sunday I went back to the ER, but I saw a better doctor that actually listened to me and who had a brain. They did test me again for being pregnant, but I think it was more because they had to do x-rays. I told Justin that if what I was feeling was what it was like to be pregnant than I didn't want to be, haha. I'm kinda a baby when it comes to doctor's and pain, haha. Anyways they did figure out what was wrong with me, I am having intestinal problems. Lol I know I don't know what it means either, all I know is that I was "full". And that is why I was throwing up because my body couldn't handle anymore food. So I was put on several different medicines to clear my system and I have to go back on Tuesday for more x-rays to see what exactly is wrong. Yay, haha I do feel much better now that I'm all cleared out, I just hope there isn't anything seriously wrong with my intestines. I don't like being dependant on pills. But I'm sure that I am healed and my x-rays will come back fine. Because I am blessed and highly favored! I'll keep you posted on what comes of this.

Famous Guest

August has been the month of Celebrities!! I don't want to name drop, but I will, as a side note I've had the privilege of meeting each and every single one of these guests too!! First we had the Wiegert brothers that I told you about earlier but that was in July. Then it was Sandra Day O'Connor, the judge. About a week after her visit Clay Walker came and put on a little concert in our upstairs bar. He is country music singer, I'd never heard of him.... Then we had Jerret Stoll and Scott Hartnell, hockey players!!! They were really cool and so nice. It feels like there was someone else.... but I can't think right now. I think it was some golf pro....maybe.

Work Work Work

That's right all I do is work! Lately I've been working between 55-60 hours a week, because we are so under staffed. The pay checks have been nice, but I haven't had time to have a life. LOL
Along with being way under staffed in all areas we have been full every single night since 7-24. We are running this amazing special and the people have responded and booked up all of our rooms until the end of October. It's pretty amazing if you think how far people have to travel to get here and with our club being so new. I love being a part of this company! It is so much fun and working the extra hours doesn't bother me because I enjoy my job so much. But one of my co-workers (Mellissa) and I joke that we are going to take the rest of the year off and start again in January. She is working even more than I am, if that's possible.

New House

Our new house is so cute! I really like it, it will be nice to have until we can build what we want. It is a 2 bedroom, 1.5 baths with a loft upstairs and a big fenced in yard. Brand new kitchen cupboards and appliances. Actually the whole house has been updated just a little over a year ago. It has an open floor plan that I love. Bedrooms are small, which we both dislike but it's not forever. We have a basement but Justin calls it a cave, and not in a good way. It's practically unusable, along with our shed/garage. So it has almost no storage, but I'm hoping to change that. If I clean the basement and if Justin fixes up the shed our storage problem will be solved. But we haven't had time or energy to do any of this yet. We are planning on doing it in the winter, so if you want to help give us a call haha. What else, I don't know it super cute so you should come check it out!!

Offically moving to Valentine

After the honeymoon...haha we turned all of our focus on to getting our new house. And once that was a done deal we next had the task of moving all of our stuff...............and oh boy do I mean task. We have stuff all over the place, we've moved so much in the last couple years and we just stuff spread all over the place. But now we should have almost everything in our new house. It took 2 trips with a trailer down to Lincoln to get all of our stuff. How on earth do 2 20 year olds have so much stuff I don't know. Wait yes I do we are pack rats! But it is our goal to go through everything and get rid of things we don't need. I've been doing really good, I've got 2 (almost 3) boxes of clothes to give away and a huge box of kitchen stuff to give away. Which is nice because our friend just moved into his first house by himself and our cousins just married got their first place too! So I'm going to see if they need anything and if not I would like to have a garage sale but if not I can always give it to the Good Will. Hopefully we don't buy back our stuff later on in life, lol we like shopping at the Good Will. But I am just glad to have our stuff in Valentine. I have been living their since the end of April literally out of a suitcase. So we now live at 428 N. Hall Street, Valentine, NE 69201. A new chapter of my life has just begun!!

Justin's surprise

For Justin's birthday present I got him Bowling For Soup tickets and didn't tell him until we landed in Omaha and the concert was that night. Actually we drove straight from the airport to the concert, we looked lovely. The reason why this is so cool is because this is our favorite band and their concert 5 years ago was our first date. We've seen them every time they've come within a 6 hour radius and we dance to one of their songs at our wedding for our first dance. We've even had the pleasure of meeting them and they are the nicest, coolest, funniest group of guys ever! And like always they delivered one heck of a show, it was awesome. Another blessed birthday!

Harry Potter Holiday aka honeymoon

If I had to choose one word to describe our honey moon it would have to be "magical". It was perfect, better than I could have ever expected. I will do a little recap of our trip, but if you want a full detail schedule read my earlier post about it.
We flew out of Omaha and into Memphis for a connection and then on to Orlando, and all of our flights were fantastic. No delays, no bad weather, no turbulence it was great. The Memphis air port was pretty cool, the terminal we were in was Elvis themed so I loved that! But the Orlando airport was even cooler! It had a Hyatt Hotel in it, and it had stores and restaurants too. We landed in Orlando at 10:50 pm eastern time and I had read about this bus that takes you to your hotel for a fare of $2 per person, but they stopped running buses at 11:30pm. So we rush down stairs to get on this bus, turns out that was only for certain nights and they hadn't updated the schedule online so I didn't know that. But it was all good, we found a shuttle that took us to our hotel for $30. Totally worth it too, took us straight to the hotel and the driver was super nice and so helpful. So we arrived at our hotel around 12 something, checked in and ordered Papa John's pizza, my favorite! We ate dinner (at 1am) and then went to sleep because we had an early morning ahead of us.
The next morning I got up super early, I couldn't sleep I was so excited! I woke Justin up around 7am and we got ready to go to the park. We had to take a taxi to the park because we had missed our early shuttle (coming in at 12am the shuttle office was closed and the front desk guy told me the wrong time) but we took a taxi and actually beat our shuttle there.
When you enter the park you first have to go through what is called "The City Walk" and it consisted of restaurants, shops, live entertainment and a multi-plex. The City Walk was so cool and it pumped me up to get to the park, because I thought if the free stuff is this cool how awesome is the park going to be. We went to the multi-plex and saw the Last Airbender there, it was huge it had at least 3 floors. And every movie they had was shown in 3d and not 3d. We also ate at one of the restaurants, Buba Gump's. It was really good and I love Forrest Gump so it was neat to see all of the decorations. I wish we would have done more on the City Walk, but we didn't know about some of the stuff until the last day. Every night they have live music or a DJ and they have a giant dance.
Anyways back to my story, so we get to the entrance of Universal Island of Adventure and I am almost in tears I'm so excited/happy. Justin had to keep me from running and screaming through the park. On a side note the way to get into the park is super cool, they scan your finger print. Then their system remembers your print that way if anyone stole our tickets they couldn't get into the park. Also you used your finger print to rent stuff like lockers inside the park. So after the finger scan we entered the park and were told to go to the velvet ropes. It was so cool being a VIP. The reason we went through the ropes is because we had special Harry Potter passes. They got us in to the park early everyday and almost 2 hours early to the Harry Potter section. Non VIP had to wait in a line, that seriously wrapped all the way around the park, till 9 or so. But they would only allow so many people into the HP section at one time so you could be waiting in that line for hours before you were able to enter the section. Then you would have to wait another 2 or 3 hours just to get into the stores or ride the rides. But not us, we were VIPs, haha. So walking to the HP section we had to pass through 2 other "lands" or themed sections of the park. It felt like it took for ever to get back there and the other lands were so cool and we wanted to take pictures but we couldn't stop because we were so excited for HP!! I nearly had a heart attack when I saw the Hogwarts Express, I couldn't believe it everything was so real looking. We took pictures in front of the train but then we had to go to the 3 broom sticks for breakfast because we had reservations.

The 3 broom sticks was incredible and they used part of the set from the movie to make it! I don't know why I'm even writing about it because words can not describe how wonderful everything was. We were there for breakfast and on Justin's bday (how cool!) and I ordered a traditional English breakfast and Justin ordered pancakes. Haha oh and of course Pumpkin Juice and Butterbeer! After breakfast we went up to Hogwarts Castle :) Looking at my pictures sometimes the castle looks fake but in person it's magical. And not only do you get to see it you actually get to walk the halls of Hogwarts, plus there is a ride!! I do not have enough time to post all of the pictures of the castle on here (or of our whole honey moon for that matter) but if you want to see more I posted them on my facebook page.

After playing around in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter for a couple of hours, we decided to check out the other lands in the park. Plus it was getting so crowded there! The whole rest of the park was decorated and themed just like HP, it was incredible and Justin and I had a blast!

The next day we went to the other park Universal Studios Florida.

I'm back and I've missed you

Sorry.... It's like I said before I have a very busy and exciting life which makes for a great blog, but time to actually write down this exciting life has been scarce. I went away on my honeymoon and got out of my habit and well you know, takes 30 days to make a habit and only one to break it.

So this is just a pre post for the up coming post which I will do separately so they having appropriate titles, happy reading.
