My first celebrity at the Lodge
That's right we finally have some celebrities at the Lodge, well kinda. Zach and Erik Wiegert, they are former Husker football players and Zach played in the NFL as well. And I know what your thinking, these are celebrities? I know right, it's not like my boss is a former Kansas State football player or the agronomy guy is a former Husker football player and his wife a Husker volleyball star. Oh wait, they are haha but I guess it's cool to have a NFL player here as a guest. But I'm still waiting for Will Smith, he better not come while I'm on my honeymoon!

House Update!!
Can you believe after 3 months I'm still in the process of moving to Valentine? Hahaha I've been here all that time but haven't moved in anywhere. Whatever, you just play the hand your dealt I guess, in my case I pick it up because I hardly ever get set. (that was a whole bunch of card lingo, euchre in particularly) What was I saying? Oh yeah moving in!!!
We talked to our mortgage company today and it looks like we will get to move in next weekend, hopefully. They have started some inspections and other closing details, but what we are mostly waiting for is the loan to go through. Which the mortgage company can't do until the appraiser comes, but thankfully that will be sometime this week. Yay I'm so excited, I feel like I've been on vacation for ever. I'm so excited to cook, clean and to have a kitchen sink!! Oh and did I mention my bed, oh I miss it so. Probably need to stop talking about it because I am getting too excited.

What a case of the Mondays!
So this Monday at work was one of the craziest/ most exciting days ever. Around 5 am I went into the kitchen to make coffee for the coffee room and I noticed water on the floor. So I thought to myself "oh no I bet a freezer got left open and it thawed out" but then I walked around the corner to find a rain storm in the middle of the kitchen. It really did look like rain coming out of the ceiling. Apparently a pipe busted earlier in the night and we have no idea how long it had been "raining", somewhere between 1-6 hours. So I got on the phone and tried calling everyone and their mother to get someone out here before the Chefs got here (because I knew they would flip). After an hour and a half and 20 phones calls later I found the right guy. So issue #1 taken care of, but while I was taking care of that another employee informed me that there was a snake downstairs (inside). And I don't do snakes, especially baby rattlesnakes, no way! So I tried to take care of that problem before I left for the day but I was unsuccessful. Turns out that no one can give me a definite yes the snake is gone, so I do not go down stairs without a trusty snake wrangler with me. All I could do was laugh, which is what I do best anyways, but it was just so funny. Only on a Monday right?

Sweet Compliment ever
You make me lose track off time, for about an hour, that we gained the night before daylight savings time.
So if it wasn't evident I have nothing to say or write about, sad day huh? Oh well it's nice to stay in the habit of blogging. Because you know it take at least 20 days to form a habit and only 1 to break it. I should have named my blog "words of wisdom" lately there have been teachings or life lessons in my blog posts. Maybe this means I'm growing up? :'( hahaha probably not.

Goals
So this is the deal, I feel like for the last couple months my life has been bananas. And just so you know bananas doesn't have to be a bad thing, in my case it was awesome, crazy but awesome! But bananas attract monkeys and I don't like monkeys, so I best be putting my life back in order. So I have decided to make some goals for July, eventually goals for the whole year but maybe that can be an August goal. Hahaha I made procrastination funny. So anyways..............
GOALS
GOALS
- Get my moneys worth out of my gym membership, that means going at least 3 days a week
- Get Justin to the gym, to get his money worth as well
- Go to the doctor, either in Lincoln or Valentine (to get my moneys worth out of my insurance, nah I'm just kidding)
- Move in to new house, this means unpacking everything and putting it away or throwing it away.
- Talk to Pastor or his wife about getting involved in the church
- Start my new scrap book
- Get pictures developed and get them posted
- Have a blast on honeymoon
- Apply what the pastor has taught me
- Upload the TJ video to myfamily for Karen
- Read a new book
- Stay in contact with my family more often
- Make new daily affirmations, and then do them
- Find a routine that works for both Justin and I and stick to it
- Throw a welcome home party
- Throw a welcome to our new home party
Well that's all I can think of for now, and I think I'm off to a good start. Life is too much fun to try and control every aspect of it. But it's a journey and with any journey it's nice to have direction and a map.

I need a fly swatter or some chop sticks, just give me something!!!
When I say I'm fly, that doesn't not mean I like flies. But apparently now not only am I fly but I am now the fly chaser. I have been running around all night swatting, chasing and cursing flies. There are only 3 of them, feels like 3o. I can't kill them, :( their too fast. Tomorrow I'm bringing a fly swatter, chop sticks or a bug zapper!!
So if you haven't already guessed it has been quite a night here at the Lodge. Not only am I chasing those darn flies but for about 2 hours we lost water pressure completely. But the water problem is fixed, now if only I could "fix" these flies. Someone even put up one of those bright orange sticky sticks used for catching flies. But these are not normal flies they must be super genius flies because they are not fooled. The stick even has pictures of flies on it and they aren't having it. Or maybe they see it as their family is already stuck to it, hmmm stupid smart flies!

Moving to the country?
So we are trying to move to Valentine, but buying a house is umm...... stressful. Our closing date is this upcoming Monday, don't think it's going to happen. But it's hard to be disappointed when the rest of our life's are so wonderful. The only thing I am sad about is that it is too late to plant my peach tree, I better have next year that's all I have to say! What's the fun in moving to the country if you can't eat a lot of peaches?
So I'm thinking next week is going to be really busy with inspections, paperwork and other buying a house fun stuff. Hopefully soon I can get some pictures posted of it on here, yay!!

Happy Fourth of July!!
Wow what a super fun day!! All of the Ford family went down to Senaca, NE today for Flip's 4th of July bash. The weather was perfect, 78ish degrees, cloud cover, and hardly any wind. I played sand volleyball most of the day, but I also fished and watched fireworks. It was just so nice to be around family and to just play games and have fun. Right now I'm at work, but my husband is still there camping out with our cousins, Reed and Mary K. And when I left it was raining and storming, hope it gets better for them.Doesn't my uncle take super good pictures!! I stole this one off of myfamily but I am giving him the credit. haha
One day I hope that we can spend 4th of July in D.C, I mean how cool would that be to learn about our nation's history while celebrating it's Indpendence. Plus I heard they put on a wicked good fireworks display.

A Honeyduke's Moon
Trying to come up with a cute Harry Potter name for our honeymoon, I've thought of "Harrymoon" but that just doesn't sound right.......hmmm. Or "honeydukesmoon" because of the store in Harry Potter and we will be going there, but I just don't know. Any of you Harry Potter lovers want to help me out here?!?!?
By the way, why is it called a honeymoon anyways? I've been trying to think of why it's call that and everything I've thought of is wildly inappropriate or impossible. Hmm anyways....
Our trip's agenda
Saturday July 17th- Get off at work at 7:00am, drive home and pick up Justin and Kaedo. Then Justin will drive us down to Lincoln, while I hopefully sleep a little. Drop Kaedo off at the Kennel, poor baby but he should have a blast the Kennel is located outside of Lincoln on a ranch. After we say goodbye to him we might stop by my parent's house to say goodbye to them and just to see them because I miss them. Then we will head to Omaha to get on an airplane! Our plane departs at 4:30pm and flies to Memphis, TN. We will have a short layover in Memphis, I think maybe an hour at the most. So just enough time to get off the plane find our next terminal and gate then relax for a few minutes before boarding our plane to Orlando,FL. We will arrive in Orlando at 10:50pm eastern time, long day of traveling, but I got such a great deal to fly out of Omaha hopefully the money we'll save will be worth it. Once we land we will have to hurry down to the parking lot because I found a bus that will take us to our hotel for only $4, but it stops running at 11:30pm. It will be about a 45min bus ride so we won't get to our hotel till late, almost midnight. I don't know if it will be that long because of the stops it has to make or what, and maybe it won't have to make those stops because it will be so late. I don't know but for $4 we can at least try it, haha. Then when we get to our hotel we will check in and reserve our shuttle time for the next morning, there is a shuttle that will take us to and from the park. Then it's off to bed, goodnight.
Sunday July 18th- Wake up around 7am, Happy Birthday Justin, get ready, take the shuttle to Universals Islands of Adventure. With our vacation package we get into the park an hour early, which is perfect because it is recommended that we be in the park 45mins before our breakfast reservation. Speaking of, that is another thing we get in our vacation package breakfast at The 3 Broomsticks. For all of you Muggles it's like eating in Cinderella's castle at Disney. I'm so excited and we get to eat there on Justin's birthday, just makes it even better. I wonder if they will sing to him like at Chuck E Cheese? So after breakfast we are going to do some shopping in Hogsmeade, I know right?!? They have all of the shops from the books/movies, plus the wand shop (which is actually located in Diagon alley but hey they couldn't make everything exactly how it is in the books). So we will probably be coming back with wands, wizarding robes, candy and Justin thinks he is getting a broom, but we'll see. After that we will start riding some rides! First since we will be in the Harry Potter part of the park we will ride those rides first. From what I can tell there are 3 rides, 2 roller coasters and "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey". Which it is hard to find details on this ride because this section of the park just opened up 6-18-10. But from what I can tell is you get to walk through Hogwarts, and then you fly over it? I don't know but I can't wait to find out! After we are done playing wizards there is tons of other things for us to do there. They have other sections similar to the Harry Potter one such as; The Marvel Superhero, Jurassic Park, Greece Gods and Dr. Seuss(kiddy land). It's like they made the park for us, well except for the Dr Seuss part. I'm pretty excited about the Marvel section as well, not only are all of my favorite super heroes from Marvel but most of the big rides are there. And and the heroes walk around so you can meet and take pictures with them!!! Too bad Harry won't be there... I guess Iron Man will have to do. So after our day of fun we will go back to the hotel and maybe swim or something, there are like 3 swimming pools we could swim in a different one everyday.
Monday July 19th- We get to sleep in today, kinda, Justin doesn't consider getting up at 9am "sleeping in". After we get up, dressed and have eaten we head off to Universal Studios Florida. With our vacation package we got passes to 1 park a day for 3 days, so off to park #2. I'm pretty sure that Justin and his family have been to this park before, which will be nice so he can tell me which things are good and which ones aren't worth our time. This park is equally exciting and full of fun things to do, but it is set up a little differently. Instead of themed sections of the park it's all things movie, probably movies produced by Universal studios if I had to make a guess ;)
I've been to Universal Studios California and the rides and shows look pretty similar so I'm hoping that it just looks like that and in all reality the parks are completely different. But some of the rides/ shows are: Men in Black Alien Attack (a ride where you shoot aliens), Hollywood Rip Rockit roller coaster, Revenge of the Mummy coaster, Twister ride, Shrek in 4D, Simpson's ride and a really cool looking kiddy land. Some of the rides that were at the other park are; the studio tour, shark attack, disasters, ET ride and T2 in 3D. Which aren't bad rides but I'm just not as excited to go on them and who knows they could be different. Then for dinner time we might eat in the park or we have passes (again with the package) to go to the City Walk, it's a thing between the two parks with restaurants and stuff. Because inside the park the food is so expensive and I know at Cedar Point the restaurants (that are still affiliated with CP) are way cheaper outside of the park. But I also read that Universal Studios allows you to bring your own food in, like if you want to picnic or something. And I looked and there is a Wal-mart near our hotel, we could ride the $4 bus there. So we might do that too. Then after we are done playing we will ride back to the hotel.
Tuesday July 20th- We have lots of options for this day. We could either go to Universals Island of Adventures, Universal Studios or I found a shuttle to the beach, which is only 3omins away. As of now we are thinking of going to Universals Island of Adventures for the better part of the day, then around 5 or 6 head to the beach, swim for a while, have dinner and watch the sunset on the beach. But that might change, who knows it's nice to have options.
Wednesday July 21st- Wake up around 8am, pack up :(, check out :'(, and take the bus to the mall ( I guess I can be happy about shopping). We thought since there is a mall right by our hotel we might as well go shopping for awhile. We probably won't even buy anything it's just fun to go into stores that we don't have here in Nebraska. Like a Coach store, where the medium sized purse cost more than our plane tickets, combined. We can "shop" until 10:30am or so, but then we have to get back on our bus and go to the airport. Our plane leaves at 1:50pm and we have another short layover in Minneapolis, MN. Don't know if you can even call it a layover because it's only 50 mins long, and they start boarding planes 20-30mins before take off. Hopefully the Minneapolis airport isn't big otherwise it might be a race to the plane, but that's OK I like running in airports it makes me feel like I'm in Home Alone or a business man. Anyways we land in Omaha at 6:30pm and then I have a birthday surprise for Justin in Omaha at 8pm. But you'll just have to wait to find out what it is since he can read this. Then after the surprise we will go back to Lincoln and spend the night.
Thursday July 22nd- We probably will sleep in, for real this time, because we will be so tired and I have to work tonight and drive back to Valentine. So whenever we wake up we will go pick up Kaedo and drive back to Valentine where we will be welcomed back by George and the rest of the family. Because, I know, life is just so hard and boring with out us. Haha I'm just kidding but I bet our jobs will be glad to have us back.
So that's about it, I want to make a slide show (because I like to do that kind of stuff) so y'all can enjoy our trip as well, well at least enjoy the pictures of it.

Blog blog blog
Sorry my blog looks so boring!! I can't wait to put pictures up again, been soo busy. The next pictures will either be of our honeymoon or our new house which ever comes first. Hopefully the new house! I can't wait to cook dinner again and clean and all that fun stuff. Even though Justin keeps thinking the honeymoon is sooner than it is, I guess he is ready for a holiday. I'll have to admit I'm getting really excited too. Especially after the week I've been having, between bug bites, mortgages, fights and crazies I think anyone would agree that it's time to get away. Janelle + plus drama = sad Janelle :( Haha see I'm way too happy of a person for drama. I'll let the drama queens deal with it, just keep me out it.
Anyways back to pictures, it's been a multiple of reasons why I haven't put them up. Yes I've been busy and yes when I blog it's a work (shhh) and I don't exactly want to upload my pictures to the work's computer. I like my job and I'd like to keep it. But along with that my poor little camera has met it's end, after 5 years I'd say that is pretty good. Well it still kinda works but it will only take 1 or 2 pictures then I have to put brand new batteries in it. So less pictures are being taken or they are being taken with other people's cameras and I haven't stolen them yet to steal the pictures off. And Justin has decided to reformat the computer for the last month or two. But I promise pictures soon!!! Well I guess thats all

Rough days
Man I had a whopper of a day, not in a good way.
Won't go into details because it's not important. But what I did want to say is how sometimes crappy days can bring you closer to the people you love and they remind about the good things in your life. It's all about attitude, I went into to the situation with a bad attitude but now I'm certain once this problem is resolved it will be better than before.
PS I love you Justin, Thank you for loving me and always being there for me!
