Gale Family Reunion

This last weekend was family reunion and it was a blast! Everyone I talked to had fun and was glad it was a 2 day event, we had to vote this year if we wanted to make it a one day event and I'm happy to say that it will remain a two day event well at least for now... The food was good, haha it makes me laugh because there is always way more desert than anything else (even in the gale family cook book) but that's ok because I'm a big fan of desert. One meal I had 2 different kinds of cake, 2 pieces of cheese cake and some brownies. Yummmy!
We played all kinds of games this year; kick ball, water course game, camera scavenger hunt, and commando. We also went on a tour of the Johnson's winery (but they only make vinegar so I don't know why it is call a winery) and we shot shotguns. Like I said tons of fun! Hopefully we can top next years, I would really like to help Karen plan it. Cause ya know I've got lots of ideas, haha.
Lets see what else happened at family reunion, oh yeah that's right I laid down in an ant hill. That was the not so fun part. I got bit by 5 or 6 "fire" ants and had to go to the ER, yeah it sucked. I was on fire, oh and I put "fire" the way I did because the ants were a type of fire ants but not the ones I think of when I think of fire ants. But I'm all good now, a little itchy but I would rather itch than burn.
We also watched the TJ movie that Marshall, James, Justin and I made it was hilarious! I can't wait to watch it with him, whenever that may be.
So I'm super excited for next weekend, the Ford family is getting together out at Flip's wild ranch. Can't wait to see what is in store for us there!

Oh life

Life confuses me sometimes, one minute I have the world in my hand. Things have been going so well for me, things I didn't even think were possible are happening for me. I've been happier than I have in a long while, but then life throws you a curve ball.
You know you try so hard sometimes to control certain things in your life, and to the outside world these things are silly or stupid but to you they mean something. I had one little thing in my life right now that I tried so hard to keep control of, and wouldn't you know it the one thing I didn't want to happen did. Now what should I do? Should I forget get it and keep on acting like I don't care about it or should I do what I want to make me happy? Haha because I always get my way, just ask anyone. Just kidding, Oh well just another thing that I tried to do that failed, this would be attempt # 3. But I will try, try again, because what ever you sow you shall reap, so I will keep planting.

PS not too many of these serious post come along, I apologize I promise fun stuff for a long time and if you don't like it Don't follow my blog

Visit from my parents

So my parent's our in town for a few days, they got here on Wednesday and will leave on Friday to go up to Rapid to visit some of their friends and I don't know if they will stop by on the way back to Lincoln or not. And we are having so much fun, the weather has been better than I could ever imaged! Dad and I went golfing, we went to eat at the Peppermill, and we went down the river, what a blast! We are all ( Dad, Mom, Justin, George, Kaedo and I) staying in the little house, haha. And James has the big house all to himself haha. I wish they could see our house that we are buying, but oh well. The next time they come up they will get to stay in our new house yay! I wish they could stay longer, I miss them a lot!

Father/Daughter Day

Happy Father's Day Dad!!
This year for fathers day I took my dad golfing at the Prairie Club, we golfed the Dunes course and it was quite interesting. Well first off they "don't allow" golf carts, I said that in quotes because that is what I was told but people were driving carts on the course and can you guess who it was?? The golf pro the guy who told the employees no carts on the course, go figure huh? Anyways we sure could have used that cart, haha I had no idea prairie grass was so tall and the sand hills were so steep. Oh well it was a good day of adventure golf, the weather was perfect, between 75-80 degrees, light breeze, some clouds in the light blue sky, wonderful golf weather. The course was a bit challenging but it was hard to complain because you were surround by beautiful scenery. We did pretty good, golf wise. Dad started out shaky on the first 2 holes but regained his skill on the rest of the holes. I think I only beat him on one maybe two holes, but I beat him in lost balls. He lost 5 and I only lost 3, sorry Ryan (technically they were his). As for my golf game, I hit the ball so well, the best I think I've ever drove in my life. But my short game blew, I mean bad, Happy Gilmore could putt better than I did that day. But it doesn't matter because we had fun and next time we are going to play the Pines course, less mess to hit through and CARTS!!

This is one of the holes on the Dunes course that we played, isn't it breath taking!

As promised

To pick up where I left you hanging for so long, sorry.

May 22, I started my new job at the Prairie Club! I had ordination that day and got to go out to the Lodge itself. It was quite exciting, and it is gorgeous out there, I'm loving it more and more each day. That weekend I helped out at the Lodge for the grand opening, organizing things, cleaning and making membership cards.
On Tuesday 25th we had the Valentine BBQ Open house, where locals could come and see the Lodge and have a free dinner. A lot of the family came out, Grandma, Grandpa, Steve, Carrie, Grace, True, Sarah, Tony, Greg, Tracee, Rex, Gale, Justin, Marshall and James. I gave some of them a tour of the Lodge it was really fun, the food was delicious and they even had a bag piper!
Then the next day was our Charter member or Investor golf welcome, I got to meet a lot of the people who helped fund and create the golf course and the club it self. Also on Wednesday I dyed my blonde, yay! So I'm a blonde again and I'm having tons of fun haha. And the little girls came over and spent the night with Justin and James cause I had to go to work.
On the next day (Thursday) we swam in the pond, well I take that back we slip n' slid into pond, because we had been draining it. But it was still fun, I think I like the slip n' slide better than just swimming anyways. The got burnt really bad, I felt bad for them, sunburns are the worst. Then that night I rode back with the girls to Cody and spent the night with them.
May 28th Carrie, myself, Sarah, True, Grace, Andrea, and Annie all drove up to Keystone to see the faces. And Carrie took us through Custer State park (which I had never been before) and it was so pretty. We stopped along the way and took pictures and we even drove through tunnels!! The faces were really cool and fun, different from the last time I went but still good. Andrea was a foreign exchange student from Guatemala and she had to see Mt Rushmore before she went home, I mean what's the point of coming to America if you don't get to see one of our National Monuments??
May 29th Justin and I drove back up to Rapid for Mary K's and Reed's bachelor parties. Wow is all I have to say, most of the night is inappropriate for public blogging, if you want to know ask me in person and you must be over 18 maybe even 19, it was that bad haha. But everyone had a BLAST!! And I got to spend time with Shae, which was awesome! I'm glad she went because I am not a crazy drinker so I got to chill and be mellow with her.
Then on Sunday we drove from Rapid to Lincoln, because we had graduation party to go to. Needless to say we did not make it to that party :( That is a long way with only 3 hours of sleep! Still sorry about that Sami. But we also had to go down to Lincoln to take care of my mom's animals while her and my dad were in Vegas. I'm so excited that me and Justin get to go next year! They bought us present's while we were there, they got Justin this really cool batman shirt that lights up when it hears sound and I got a rhine stone Las Vegas shirt that is really pretty. Also while we were down there we packed and cleaned up more of our house :(

June 2nd, We drove back to Valentine because I had to work that night, first night by myself. It was fun, nothing bad happens but then again nothing bad will ever happen on my shift. The whole staying awake at night has not been hard for me at all. I love staying up late and now I get paid to do so. Then I worked from the 2nd till the 6th but in the meantime there was also another big event in there: Reed and Mary K's wedding!! yay
June 3rd is when I got my early birthday present, a Yukon XL, black, leather seats, Bose system Oh yeah!! Best birthday ever!!
Friday June 4th was the rehearsal dinner and practice, TJ brought some beer for everyone to taste. It wasn't bad but then again I'm no expert of beers. Cooper was calling it barley pop and asking people if they wanted him to go get them more, he also did this at the actually wedding it was Hilarious.
June 5th was their wedding, and it was so nice! Everyone looked great, nothing went wrong and the reception was fun as heck. I did a lot of dancing as usual and while everyone was having a grand ole time I snuck off with my two side kicks, True and Sarah to decorate the happy couple's hotel room. We put candles around the room, spread rose petals around, iced champagne, got fresh strawberries and lots of chocolate. The room looked and smelt way better after we were through with it, after that we went back to the party to eat some cake. Then :( I had to go to work.
Sunday June 6th Justin, Gale, and I went our to Grandma's house because the family was installing her new floor, it looks good too! But this day I got sick, I think I ate something bad, which always happens to me, I need to be more picky sometimes. But I still went to work, for a while. I got everything done in like 2 hours I was like speedy gonzales and I was trying not to throw up in front of the guests. One of the only nights guests stayed up late had to be that night, but oh well they had no idea. Anyways so apparently that night was a night from you know where, after I left when my boss got there the alarm kept going off and she had to stand by it the whole night and press silence every 5 minutes and then another girl made too much coffee so much it was leaking down stairs in the caddie room, there was standing coffee in the kitchen. I told them I was glad I went home early, hehehe
The next day it was back down to Lincoln to paint the house and pack/clean up some more. Can't wait to move into my new house, then maybe I will stop being so sad about moving out of the Lincoln one. While we were down in Lincoln we saw my parents and ate dinner with them, but I was sick for all of it so we took it slow. Also while we were down there I got to see Kelsey before she moved to California. We went wedding reception hall shopping, haha! I'm lovn' it more this time because it's not my day. I don't have to pay for it, or plan it I just have to be supportive, throw a party or two, show up the day of the wedding and look pretty. It's really exciting though and I'm so happy for her too!!
Wednesday it was back up to Valentine for work again. When we left Valentine on Sunday it was storming and raining and when we came back to Valentine on Wednesday it was still storming and raining ( and it did for the whole week). I don't like storms and every night it stormed and I was all alone and scared! One night the wind even threw around the patio furniture, uhh scary stuff.
Thursday night was probably my most interesting night working at the Lodge so far! I had to baby sit drunks, haha. They were so far gone that I had to help them into their rooms. One man for some reason or another decided to come out of his room and I don't know if he was just to embarrassed to ask me to let him back into his room again or what but he slept the remainder of the night in the men's locker room. I told the story to people before I left work that morning and people were telling it to me that night when I came back into work. I was like I know I was there! Then the rest of the week like I said was just stormy and rainy. It was so bad that we were in a flood warning for 3 days and they closed the golf courses for 2 1/2 days.
Monday June 14th good old flag day, haha, it was my day off and I didn't do a darn thing. It felt so good.
On Tuesday I cleaned the little house because my parent's are coming to stay with us and it's a mess. We have too much stuff for this little house!! So all in all a pretty boring day
Wednesday June 15th, Ryan's birthday! I made him a card that say's the Big O and the O was a block O, I know I'm so clever. And I couldn't decided if I should send 1 $20 or 20 $1s so I sent both, but now (after I mailed it) I have made up my mind, I should have only sent 1 $20 because the 20 $1s is for his 21st, oh well. But back here in Nebraska we had a birthday/welcome back party. James went to Washington DC for 2 weeks and he had just gotten back. Some of the Ford family came out we ate, swam and danced. It was a ton of fun! And I got the year 2 harry potter box set thingy!! Love it!! Oh and it might have been this day or the day before, but I booked our "Harrymoon" tickets!! We are going to the Harry Potter theme park for our honeymoon, I'm so excited. Plus I got an amazing deal on it! But any who, I had to leave early from this party and on my drive out to work I thought of a brilliant idea, Dance Birthday Party on Friday! So that night and Thursday we invited people to this party, one day in advance that's good right?

Thursday when I got off of work, I wasn't tired could you blame me I was all jacked up about Birthday Jam! So I went to work with Justin for a little while, he was doing some raking in the pivot behind their house and I got to ride in the tracker with him. It was really nice, I got to spend extra time with him just one on one and we got to talk about lots of different things. I might have to partake in bring your wife to work day more often. Plus I just think farm equipment is the coolest thing ever, I get really excited about the little things in life, they make me happy. After I got done riding around with Justin I cleaned up the shed a little then went to sleep because I had to work that night.

Friday June 18th, aka My birthday!! oh and Marshall's too! After I got off work I had a huge list of stuff I had to get and get done for the party, so I ran all my errands James even helped me do some of them. We set up the shed and then I made cakes for me and Marshall. We had a pretty good turn out (for only having one days notice) around 20 people showed up through out the night. We ate hamburgers and hot dogs, played a lot of ping pong, play a little bit of wiffle ball, swam in the pond, ate cake, danced, and opened presents. It was so much one of the best birthdays ever! I don't know if I'll plan something like this next year, but you better watch out for our 21st and 25th birthdays, I've already started planing it's gonna be good! So I don't know if you noticed but I didn't mention sleep in there, thats because I didn't sleep from Thursday around 7pm till Saturday at 3 am. Lol but don't freak out mom because I made it up by sleeping in till 9:30pm on Saturday. Then I worked Saturday night, good times. I work a lot , but I really enjoy what I do and who I work with/for and the pay checks are so nice.

Well thats been my life for the last month, I promise I will get the pictures on here soon! Justin is re-formating the computer and I have to put all of my pictures back on there. So bare with me. I have a busy and exciting life so I will keep trying to post daily, plus that way I won't forget stuff that I did.

Busy People and Blogging

Long time no...uh..blog? Sorry but I've been way beyond busy, which I was thinking about it and I think I would rather read a busy person's blog than a boring or depressing person's blog (or worse both). A busy person's blog would be so exciting, that is if they ever get around to writing it.....
So I hope you are ready to re live all of my exciting adventures over the last couple weeks! Umm when I get around to it
